Earlier this year, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and NHS England (NHSE) hosted a roundtable with senior NHS leaders, clinicians, digital experts, workforce leads and policymakers to discuss ambient voice technology (AVT) in the NHS in England. This is a rapidly moving arena, and first and foremost the solutions must be led by clinical need and not potential technological solutions. These case studies were presented during the roundtable.
‘Analogue to digital’ is one of the three key shifts in the recently published NHS 10 Year Health Plan. The plan promises that by 2035, “AI will be seamlessly integrated into most clinical pathways, and generative AI tools will be widely adopted.”
