BLOG
What patients want from an outpatient strategy
The Patients Association has been working with NHS England and the Royal College of Physicians on the new strategy for outpatient services.
This blog from Sarah Tilsed, Head of Patient Partnership at the charity, reflects on what she's heard from patients about their experiences of outpatients.
For some background on this project, read Sarah's blog on partnering with patients on outpatient strategy. The Patients Association ran a patient panel and its feedback was presented at the outpatient summits. It also ran a survey on what patients want from a strategy, and the themes that were discussed across the four summits were similar to what the charity found in the survey.
